September 10, 2006 - Over $2 million donated to First Responders and volunteers

Fedhealth, a small publishing and marketing company, has donated their second million to First Responders, volunteers and nonprofit organizations as a "thank you" for their on-going efforts.

For the past 7 years, Fedhealth has been providing creative and collaborative fundraising programs that primarily benefit K-12 schools and First Responders in the U.S. and Canada.

Their book entitled "IT’S A DISASTER! … and what are YOU gonna do about it?" helps consumers and businesses examine how best to prepare for and react to most emergency situations which may lessen the burden on local emergency services during the first few hours or days of an event.

"The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina showed businesses and citizens how natural disasters impact daily life. People must plan ahead and take personal responsibility for their own and their families’ safety since it may take days, weeks or months before services can function again," said Bill Liebsch, President, CEO and co-founder of Fedhealth. "This ‘tool’ helps companies, agencies and groups get valuable preparedness information into homes while helping fund and support local schools and nonprofits."

Many emergency officials along with volunteer groups like Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), Citizen Corps, Retired and Senior Volunteer Programs (RSVPs) and Local Emergency Planning Councils (LEPCs) are using customized books as giveaways to communities and sharing Fedhealth program ideas with local schools and businesses. As a way of showing the company’s appreciation, Fedhealth donates a portion of any referred sales back to those entities.

To date, Fedhealth has donated over $2.1M in combined cash and match to First Responders, volunteers and nonprofit organizations.
