August 25, 2005 - Publisher donating portion of all sales to First Responders
Throughout September, Fedhealth will donate 10% of every sale to the local First Responder group (or nonprofit) of the purchaser’s choice in support of "National Preparedness Month 2005".
According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the goal of National Preparedness Month is to increase public awareness about the importance of preparing for emergencies and to encourage Americans to take action.
Fedhealth’s new 268-page 4th Edition of "IT'S A DISASTER! ...and what are YOU gonna do about it?" helps families and businesses prepare for most emergencies and disasters before they strike. Topics range from Earthquakes to Terrorism (including Washington DC’s contributed Terrorist Threat Advisory System) to First Aid to Business Continuity.
Currently, agencies, businesses and groups purchase books by the case for customized giveaways to employees, customers and citizens. During September, in addition to 82% discount off the $19.95 list price and free customization, Fedhealth will also provide free freight and contribute 10% back to local communities.
"We didn’t write this book to sell a book," said Bill Liebsch, Fedhealth co-founder, President and CEO. "This ‘tool’ provides a way for businesses to collaborate and educate recipients while supporting their local Emergency Services and volunteers. It’s a total win-win."
With over 120,000 books in print and over $1.3 million in cash and match donations to First Responders and nonprofit organizations, Fedhealth continues to explore new and innovative ways to help all North American communities prepare for life.
